These tables allow you to work out a price for any combination of quantity required, number of pages, cover weight (thickness) and inner page weight thickness. To work out a price you need to know the total number of pages in your booklet (count the front cover as page 1 untill you reach the back page which equals the number of pages) this must be divisible by 4. Each set of 4 pages canbe called a section (or 'leaf'). The first section (cover section) is calculated by using the first table the remaining number of pages (divided by 4) will tell you how many inner sections you need to complete your booklet. You may select either full colour sections, black & white sections or a combination of both. The longest run we undertake is 20,000 copies up to 48 pages. Our booklet maker will produce booklets up to about 2000gsm thick open, please call us if you are unsure. Your booklet starts out as many flat sheets of paper, these are then fed into the collator end of our Watkiss Booklet Maker. The booklet maker collates the sheets together then punches a wire (staple) throught the sheets. Once stapled together the booklet is then folded and passed under a guillotine blade for trimming, this ensures a flush finish when the book is in its closed state. Our booklets are then put through a spine master which crushes the edge of the book giving a flat side almost to the same quality as perfect binding.
